Easy Pudding Recipe within 5 Minutes; The Mango Pudding


Hello guys, as I promised you I bring you easy dessert recipe that can be prepared from the mangoes. This version of mango pudding cause no time at all, only need very few ingredients to have the sweet dessert.  Popular Hong Kong style dessert adapted in this mango pudding recipe. Once you taste it you will be in heaven because it is a perfect combination of sweetness, slightly tartness & creaminess. The elegant dessert garnish with fresh cream & fresh mango pieces on top, perfect for any celebration tables. Hence it’s the mango session, make a better use of it making this recipe; I’m pretty sure you will love this. So let’s jump to the recipe.

For 4 servings.
Ingredients for the mango pudding  
  1. Fresh mango puree 300g
  2. Cold water 1/4 cup
  3. Gelatin powder 2 tsp
  4. Boiling hot water 1/3 cup
  5. Honey/ sugar 2 tbsp
  6. Whipping cream/ fresh cream/ coconut milk 1/3 cup
  7. Pinch of salt
  8. Lime or lemon juice to taste

For garnishing

  1. Fresh mango pieces 1/3cup
  2. Whipping cream/ fresh cream/ coconut milk 1/3 cup

Use ripe mangoes for this easy dessert recipe for best results, under ripe mangoes also can be used with the condition that it will require more sugar to cover the natural sourness of the mangoes. Prefer either way as your choice.

Steps to make the mango pudding
  1. First we need to bloom the gelatin. So that sprinkle gelatin over the cold water & leave it for 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare your mango puree & other ingredients. In medium flame cook mango puree along with cream, sugar & salt. Make sure to add half amount of sugar first & taste it before adding the rest if it required. So that we can control the sweetness level of the dessert, or otherwise it will become too sweet in the end.
  3. Make sure to stir constantly till it steams & remove from the heat.
  4. Add boiling hot water into the bloomed gelatin mixture & stir till it dissolves. Pour it on to the hot mango mixture & mix well.
  5. Do a taste test, add more sugar or lemon juice in here. In my case I don’t want to use lemon juice, so taste it before you adding it.
  6. Also you can add fresh mango pieces to the mixture, if you like. Since I didn’t have enough mangoes in my hand today I couldn’t do it. Taste even better when you get bite into a fresh mango with creamy mango pudding.
  7. Pour the pudding mixture into your serving cups or molds & refrigerate it at least 3-4 hours to set well.
  8. When serving add more cream on the top of the pudding with some fresh mango pieces on the center of it. I create swirls effect using warmed mango jam, to do that add a cream layer on the top of the pudding. Using a spoon drizzle warmed mango jam liquid over it & create swirls running a tooth pick over it. It’s so captivating than leaving a single cream layer on the top, give it a try.

It is not necessary for having more layer such as cream on the top of this pudding, you can add some fresh mango cubes on it to finish off the look, because the mango pudding is already so yummy just the way now it is.
