There are few different ways of making the Mango Custard Pudding & today I’m going to share with a recipe that calls for alternating layers of custard & mango pulp. For presenting we need to use clear glass ramekins to indicate the color in between each layers. It’s eye catching super tasty dessert. I used vanilla custard powder in the recipe, you can even use flavored custard powder in this also.
To get mango pulp you need to use the ripe mangoes. Well in my case I thought mangoes were ripe enough & my family & I really want to make this today to have a taste, so I go for making custard & guess what, even though it’s super yummy at the end; its needed beautiful colors doesn’t stand out well. There wasn’t significant difference in between the layers. Recipe I’m sharing is iconic for its layers, pale yellow to bright & shiny yellow with a shade of orange; hence under ripped mangoes beauty of dessert not in perfect form. Dessert is always about presenting right not only the taste matters, so guys learn from my mistake, don’t used under ripped mangoes in recipe.
Start by making the custard, because it has to cool down.
I used my homemade mango jam in here, you can go & check how to make it also. To garnish you can even add more fruits that can bring colors on it. Since it’s layer need to be showcase, make sure to pour clean layer in the serving cups. If there is excess put on the glass remember to wipe off with a clean tissue.
Gelatin can be used in here to have nice firmness to the dessert instead of nice thick & creaminess on the dessert that we get in this recipe. Use about 4tsp if you want to use gelatin for the recipe, or use 5tsp of agar agar powder.
